The Perrin TMIC is 12% larger than the nearest competitor's core. The larger core means less restriction and better cooling capabilities for more horsepower. Our core size is 21.87" wide x 7.64" deep x 3.95" thick making the volume just over 660 cubic inches!
DESIGN
The Perrin Intercooler core is 75% larger than the stock intercooler, offering a high-flow design and delivering consistent horsepower gains. The Perrin end tanks minimize air turbulence with smooth pathways, resulting in increased horsepower. With stainless-steel inserts, the threaded mounting holes provide easy installation and superior holding power.
NO TUNING REQUIRED
Increase horsepower and torque without ECU recalibration or tune! This part is designed and tested to work safely on your vehicle without any tuning required! However, more power can be gained with proper ECU tuning.

I’m put this TMIC on just before tuning and the manifold intake temperatures have been steady at roughly 8 degrees F above ambient when in throttle. It works very well from that respect. %0D%0A%0D%0AFitment was very difficult. I used the Perrin TMIC brackets as well and getting everything to line up was only possible with force applied toward the driver side which actually bent the right side of the intercooler a bit. The intercooler also contacts the AC lines and the instructions say to bend that line carefully out of the way%2C but they cannot be bent and applying force to do so could damage the AC line joints resulting in a leak. My work around was to ziptie the stock transmission bushing that I had after swapping a stiffer set around the AC line at the contact point. That has worked really well and eliminated any vibrations that would have been transmitted from the engine to the AC lines. %0D%0A%0D%0AOverall it works great%2C looks pretty good%2C but fitment can be a real pain. It also limits your choices for AOS kits and strut tower bars due to the size. It’s a good product%2C but something like the Grimmspeed model %28which was recently tested and performed very closely%29 might be a better choice. %0D%0A%0D%0AFelix performance customer service is wonderful though and no matter which item you choose%2C you can rely on them to make the process easy and fun.
